Recently my 10 yr old Australian cattle dog, Alex, was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy. In two short months he has gone from minimal signs to severe onset of lack of coordination, foot dragging, incontinence and severe head tilt. Unfortunately I’m in the United States and too far to bring him  to your location.
I am looking for any possible ways to improve any way we can as he is very special to me. Thank you kindly for your time! I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards, Kacee K.

2 weeks later...

Good evening Debi,

I know it’s late in the evening but I wanted to touch base with you on my dog Alex. We’ve progressed through the first two stages of the response 5 as you requested. Although he is in severe stages of DM I think I’m seeing some small but positive changes and for us that’s a huge win!

He has had a more positive and more upbeat energy the days following therapy. He regresses quickly in the off days but comes back well following another therapy session. He has moments of increased stability but still gets quite frustrated as it’s just slight. But for us at this point any improvement is a win. I’ve noticed an increase in appetite as well. A noticeable change in appetite as he had gotten to the point where he was simply not craving food as he had once before and I’m seeing that come back. Another improvement I’ve seen has been his bladder control and incontinence issues have nearly stopped and he’s had an immense improvement here. We’ve still got a long ways to go but for us to see improvement is a big positive!

All in all I’m very very pleased with the response I’ve seen thus far and I’m looking forward to continuing on in the therapy phases. I appreciate any insight or response you may have to his noted changes above and just want to ensure we are on the right track. Thank you again for taking your time with us and sharing your method. Our next step before finding you sadly was no other option but to put him down. I feel like you’ve given us hope again and if nothing else we’ve gained some extra time with our family member and that is irreplaceable, so thank you!

Kindest Regards,
Kacee K.
